MEDFORD Ore. — A ruling in the appeal of the Rogue Valley’s first state approved medical marijuana dispensary is expected within just a few days. Yesterday, the city and owner of Mary Jane’s Attic and Basement argued their case before a judge.
Mary Jane’s had to close about a month ago when the city revoked its business license, claiming it was distributing medical marijuana. The store’s owner, Marlene Nuckols, says she feels positive about the upcoming decision.
“There’s a lot of interest in the valley of us getting the full license back and both businesses up and running,” says Nuckols.
The city of Medford placed a ban on Medical Marijuana Dispensaries earlier this year. However, earlier this month, Mary Jane’s Basement gained it’s state business license.
