Man Threatens Hotel Employee With Gun

ASHLAND, Ore. — Ashland Police are looking for a man they say went into the Plaza Hotel approached a woman with a handgun and threatened her. It happened at 10 a.m. on Friday morning.

The hotel’s employee was able to run away from the suspect and call police. They evacuated the hotel and did a sweep for the suspect, but did not track him down. Also, the downtown area was thoroughly checked, and a county wide broadcast was put out to all police agencies.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30’s, approximately 5’10”, with a goatee, wearing a long black coat with a hood, also wearing a dark baseball cap and sunglasses. If anyone sees a person matching this description, they are encouraged to call 911 immediately.
