GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A Grants Pass man who stabbed his neighbor to death will spend 10 years behind bars.
In 2011, 42-year-old Kiley Hudson got into an argument with his 60-year-old neighbor, Gary Solomon. The verbal fight escalated and Hudson ended up stabbing him to death.
A jury found Hudson guilty of manslaughter 11 to 1. A Josephine County Judge went with the states recommendation of 10 years with post-prison supervision and credit for time served.
“We’re glad that we could get some justice and closure for the victim and we hope that they’re able to move on, and hopefully heal from the loss from their brother and son,” said Prosecuting Attorney Ryan Mulkins.
Both Hudson’s and Solomon’s family did not want to comment. After the sentencing, the victim’s mother went over to console Hudson’s mother.
