MEDFORD, Ore. — A man is lodged in the Jackson County Jail today on charges of Attempted Murder. The Medford Police responded to Rogue Regional Medical Center Sunday night at about 8:20 p.m., for a report of an adult man being treated for a gunshot wound to the hip.
After investigating, Police discovered that the shooting happened near Plum Street and Winchester Avenue. The suspect is Curtis Lee Wiles, 32. Later that night, around 11:17 p.m., Medford Police found Wiles at the Minute Market on Highland Dr. He was arrested without incident and lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
Police officials said there is nothing to indicate this shooting was gang related. The victim reported to be in stable condition at RRMC. The Medford Police Department will continue to investigate the case, anyone with information is asked to call the Medford Police Department.
