NEAR MEDFORD, Ore. – A man from West Sacramento, California was arrested Friday night on Interstate 5 near Medford after police say he was found in possession of approximately 2.2 pounds of cocaine.
Oregon State Police say 42-year-old Jay Guadalupe Barragan was stopped by an OSP trooper for a traffic violation.
With the assistance of a Medford Police drug canine, police discovered cocaine hidden in Barragan’s Toyota Tacoma pickup. Police say the cocaine is valued at around $40,000.
Barragan was arrested without incident and lodged in the Jackson County Jail for Unlawful Possession, Delivery, and Manufacture of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine.
