Man Arrested for Counterfeit Cash

bennett, adamMEDFORD, Ore. — More than $3,000 of counterfeit cash is out of circulation after a Medford Police arrest.

Two guests left behind more than $3,000 worth of counterfeit bills ranging from twenties to hundreds when they checked out of the Motel 6 in south Medford on Saturday.

The motel’s cleaning staff found the fake bills in a bag and called police. When police arrived, so did the suspects who came back looking for their counterfeits. The suspects ran to a nearby baseball field where one man, 24 year old Adam Kyle Bennett was arrested while the other suspect got away, but has been identified.

Police say they found Adam Bennett at Motel Six on Alba Drive on Sunday. He’s facing several counts of 1st degree forgery and criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Medford Police are searching for another suspect, but are not yet releasing his name.
