MEDFORD, Ore. — Jackson County prosecutors say a Medford man accused of killing his wife tried to hire two people to commit the murder.
There is still a ways to go in this case, but prosecutors say things are getting a little more clear, even as the investigation takes another twist.
Two weeks after Bourne Huddleston was arrested for killing his wife Kristy, and a week after a grand jury revealed he tried to hire someone to do it first, more information has come out, saying Bourne Huddleston tried to hire a second person to commit the murder.
The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday, a grand jury indicted Huddleston again, adding more charges, including solicitation to commit murder. The D.A.’s Office says Huddleston approached the man with the idea last November, but prosecutors are not releasing how the men knew each other, or what they think Huddleston’s plan was.
Kristy Huddleston was found dead of a gunshot wound at the couple’s Medford home on March 23rd. Police say the couple’s 10-year-old son was inside the house at the time. Huddleston is scheduled for a court hearing later this month. In March, he pleaded not guilty, and said Kristy has killed herself.
