YREKA, Calif. — Almost exactly a year after a Medford man was found dead at the bottom of a cliff in Siskiyou County, his wife is on trial for murder.
Patricia MacCallum is facing murder charges for the death of Michael MacCallum. Opening statements began on Monday. Investigators believe MacCallum shot and killed her husband while they were camping.
MacCallum’s step-sister, Amber Lubbers, testified against her. Amber Lubbers pleaded guilty and accepted a sentence of three years in prison for her involvement in the murder.
