MEDFORD, ORE. — The man accused of falsely reporting assault by his estranged wife, and then setting her apartment on fire, will spend seven and a half years in prison.
In March, Medford Police were dispatched to the Rogue Regional Medical Center for claims of an assault. 47-year-old Louis Walls told police his estranged wife and another man assaulted him that morning.
Not long after, fire crews put out a fire at an apartment complex on Barnett in Medford. Medford Police later concluded the fire was set by Wells, and his claims of assault were false.
Wells will also spend three years on parole.
