Loop Rope Gets ‘Good Morning America’ Boost

By Steven Sandberg

MEDFORD, Ore. — A local company gets a national spotlight and it leads to one of the busiest and most lucrative days the company has ever had.

Last week, Loop Rope, based in Medford, contacted Good Morning America about having their product featured on the show. The producers said there wasn’t time to get a loop rope physically on the show, but they would feature it on the show’s web site and that was enough to lead to $20,000 in sales in just one morning.

The Loop Rope, which can act as an alternative to bungee cords, was featured on Good Morning America’s “Deals and Steals” for Father’s Day and they were offering each rope at half off. Within minutes of the show’s segment Friday morning, Loop Rope began receiving hundreds of orders from across the country and employees spent hours packing and shipping. By this afternoon, Loop Rope had shipped more than 500 orders, which came out to about $20,000 worth of sales, one of the best single days in the company’s history.

Loop Rope’s special deal with Good Morning America only lasts through the rest of the day, but Loop Rope’s managers say they are selling on their own website 24-7; so they expect the orders to keep coming in.
