MEDFORD, Ore. — Fast food workers at restaurant chains across the United States, including some in Southern Oregon, are demanding higher wages.
About a dozen people rallied in Medford on Thursday afternoon at Riverside and Oakdale as part of the nationwide effort. Another group rallied in Ashland near the Wendy’s location.
The group in Medford stood on the corner chanting through a megaphone, holding signs. Then they took the rally inside of the nearby fast food restaurants, handing out flyers to local restaurant workers.
Today is being called “Support Low-Wage Worker Day”.
