Locals Cooling Off At Water Park

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – The hot temperatures this entire week is pushing parents and kids to head to the water park at Don Jones Park.

Several parents NewsWatch12 spoke with on Tuesday say bringing their kids to this park is the best way to escape the heat during the day.

“It is super hot today and it’s going to be hot for the rest of the week, so this place is perfect for families to bring their little children,” says parent Dustin Pettengill.

“We wanted to chill,” says Nicole Pettengill. “We have a convertible and it gets really hot without air conditioning, so we wanted to come get wet, and then hopefully the chill of the water on our clothes will help cool us off on the drive.”

The water park summer hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The park also offers a place to picnic and play tennis or basketball.
