The area is cleared of construction equipment. The water fountains are still there, but the Plaza is missing a few old trees. Two trees were removed last year, but the new Plaza now includes nine trees.
Some residents say the new design is impressive, despite some prior protests.
“I’m a thousand percent approval of what’s happened here. At first I was really mad about the trees taken out because, let’s face it, trees are nice when they’re old grown timber,” said Ashland resident David Woods.
