MEDFORD, Ore. — Several dozen Southern Oregon Republicans gathered to watch the debate at the Jackson County Republican office.
Local Republicans said Governor Mitt Romney’s answers were structured and they felt he listed a clear plan to revive the economy. They say President Obama laid out facts but was confusing in his answers.
“I couldn’t quite keep his train of thought. He was kind of darting around every time he was confronted with something and brought out isolated facts that really didn’t address the points,” said Stuart Stennett.
Local Republicans believe after the debate, future public polls will shift in favor of him. President Obama and Governor Romney will meet again in a town meeting format on Tuesday, October 16th.
