MEDFORD, Ore. — Jackson’s Menswear will close its doors on Tuesday after more than 45 years of business. Owner Ray Jackson said the decision to close the store has nothing to do with poor sales or the bad economy. He just wanted to retire.
“I’m sure I’ll miss the business. I was here for 46 years and know a lot of people and it’s going to be kind of strange not coming to the store every day,” Jackson said.
Jackson first opened the retail shop in Ashland and then moved it to Medford in 1989. He said it’s the only independently-owned menswear store in Medford and one of only five in Oregon.
