GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Medical professionals are always practicing the skills to save a life and now, two local medical professionals are in Las Vegas to prove just how good they are at their jobs.

The AMR Josephine County Workers have been training for AMR’s regional contest. It pits paramedics and EMT’s from across the region against each other, practicing medical and trauma scenarios.

Last month, two AMR workers in Josephine County earned their spot at the regional competition, by winning the Oregon-Washington competition. The men say it shows they always strive for excellence.

The two-day competition in Vegas starts Tuesday; the prize is bragging rights and a trophy.
