MEDFORD, ORE. — A local doctor and community leader is being honored for her work to help people dealing with mental health and addiction treatment.
Doctor Rita Sullivan was presented with the Chairman’s Award from the Jackson County Commissioners Wednesday morning. Sullivan is the executive director of On Track, and commissioners praised her efforts to provide treatment to those in need.
At the award presentation, Sullivan said she owed it all to the staff she has worked with.
“We need to keep doing it collectively,” she said. “Those people in there are such a privilege to work with. I couldn’t do it alone, I wouldn’t want to do it alone and I’d fail miserably if I did it alone.”
Sullivan is the third recipient of the Chairman’s Award. It is presented to people whose lifetime achievements have made a difference in Jackson County.
