ASHLAND, Ore. — The Annual Oregon Chocolate Festival has wrapped up, and on Monday it’s back to business as usual for one local chocolatier.
Branson’s Chocolate recently opened their own shop, but has been making chocolates in Ashland for the past eight years. The company attended the annual chocolate festival.
“It was a successful year,” said Branson’s Chocolate owner, Deena Branson. “Our sales were up over last year.”
Branson said their most popular item this year was the truffle, in particularly, the tequila truffle.
“You get the salt, the lime, and the patron in it,” said Branson.
Now that the festival is over, Branson’s is on to their next project, preparing for Easter. They are already making chocolate bunnies, but this is just the beginning and the company says they’re going to have to make a lot to accommodate all of their customers’ needs. Branson said enough is never enough in this case, and she expects the chocolate bunnies to all be sold out before the Easter holiday.
All of Branson’s chocolates are gluten-free. Branson’s also custom wraps and molds their chocolates for businesses in the Rogue Valley area.
