MEDFORD, Ore. — Another phase in the downtown Lithia Commons project is nearing completion. The project manager says crews are finishing work on the first park block outside the commons building.
The spot along Bartlett Street is being transformed into an area with a playground, walkways, and shaded locations. The first park block is set to be completed by the end of November; others will begin work next spring.
“It’s going to be set up for special events like farmer’s market or Pear Blossom, there’s a lot of electrical being provided for it, water, really set us up for there to be different types of special events,” Project Manager Eric Iversen.
Crews are also working on a pass through the Middleford Parking Garage in order to connect the park blocks to Main Street downtown.
