Law Enforcement NRA Tactics Competition

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a National Rifle Association (NRA) Tactical Police Competition Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21st.

The competition was open to both active and retired sworn law enforcement officers from both public and private agencies and U.S. Military members. Competitors were tested on their abilities to shoot duty hand guns, shotguns, and patrol rifles. It incorporated both competitive based skills and scenario courses to allow participants to practice and evaluate their ability to use duty firearms and gear in hypothetical police settings.

The event was held at the Jackson County Sports Park. Awards were given for each division and law enforcement category.
