ASHLAND, Ore. – A group known as Love Ashland Network (LAN) is getting together this month to helps families struggling to round up school supplies for children this year.
LAN is a group of anonymous Ashland residents concerned for low-income families in the area. Love Ashland Network’s 5th Annual School Supplies Giveaway is being held this Saturday, August 17th at 9:00a.m at the South Valley Community Human Services Center. Arriving early is a must, as their are a limited 150 bookbags.
The organization will be giving away free backpacks, filled with basic school supplies to anyone who is in need. The book bags are valued at $25 and will contain notebooks, pens, rulers, erasers, and pencil pouches among other items for students in grades K-8. All of the items are brand new.
There is no requirement as to what students can or cannot receive the free items. No application must be filled out and no questions asked! Anyone is eligible.
