Knife Robbery at Grants Pass Dutch Bros

Scott Alan CookGRANTS PASS, Ore. — No one was injured after police say a man robbed a Dutch Brothers coffee stand at knife point early Sunday morning.

At around 1:24 a.m., officers with the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety responded to the report of a hold up alarm at the Dutch Brothers Coffee Stand located at 638 Redwood Highway.

Police say 24-year-old Grants Pass resident Scott Alan Cook approached the employee of the coffee stand stating he had a knife in his pocket and asking for merchandise and money.

The employee, fearing for his safety, gave Cook the merchandise. Cook took the merchandise and hid behind JD’s Sports Pub until he attempted to leave the area on foot and was apprehended by police.

Cook was lodged in the Josephine County Jail on robbery and theft charges. Anyone with further information on the incident is asked to call the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety at 541-450-6260.
