KLAMATH FALLS Ore. — Klamath County will continue their Star Spangled Snowflake events, with a fun run and Snowflake Parade. The fun race will kick off before the parade Thursday night at 6:30.
The parade will begin at the Klamath County Museum and proceed down main street to Veterans Park. People can register for the run at Klamath County Chamber of Commerce, the Library and Ponderosa Junior High. The Annual Snowflake Parade will then begin at 7 p.m. 100 floats featuring bands, bright lights, and even Santa Claus will journey down Main Street. The parade will begin at Spring Street and end at Veterans Park.
Josephine County will also be kicking off thier five day winter event, featiuring holiday and social activities. Thursday night is the Gala and Grand Auction, which will be held at the Bear Hotel in Grants Pass from 6 to 9 p.m.
A dinner will be catered by local businesses, followed by a live auction of decorative trees and art. The event helps to fund mental health organizations in Josephine Couty. Tickets are currently sold out online, but may be purchased until 3 p.m. Thursday at the Bear Hotel. They are $75 per adult or $500 for a table of eight.
Eagle Point will have it’s Christmas Tree lighting and festivities Friday, December 7 and Central Point will have a lights parade Saturday, December 8 on Pine Street.
