Evacuation for Klamath River Canyon

fire evacsKLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. — Klamath County is issuing a level three evacuation for the Klamath River Canyon.

The evacuation is in place from John C. Boyle Dam to the California border.  This includes Topsey Grade Road and Picard Road.

Sheriff’s Deputies have been communicating with CAL Fire to put this evacuation in place.  Fire officials do not know of any homes in the area, but did say there is a campground.

A level three evacuation means to leave immediately.  There is current danger in the area, and if you choose to ignore the advisement, you must understand that emergency services may not be available to assist you further.  Fire officials said do not delay leaving to gather belongings or protect your house.
