KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Crater Lake-Klamath Regional Airport will soon lose United Express service. This is currently the only air service out the Klamath airport.
Starting June 5, there will no longer be daily flights operated by Sky West to Portland or San Francisco.
Klamath airport officials say they are facing increasing challenges because of the recession and more stringent federal rules about crew scheduling.
Anyone with United reservations into or out of the Klamath airport after June 5th will be contacted by the airline to reschedule.
The airport officials are already working on bringing new airline service to Klamath Falls.
Last year, about 13,000 people flew through the Klamath Falls airport.
