MEDFORD, Ore. — Southern Oregon winemakers are praising new attention the state is getting from one of the country’s biggest wineries.
Kendall Jackson, one of the top ten wine producers in the country, recently closed a purchase on land from three different wineries in the Willamette Valley, totaling roughly 400 acres.
The amount of money paid is undisclosed. Wineries here in the Rogue Valley say that investments across the state will have a big impact on their business as well.
Donovan also says that attention from a producer like Kendall Jackson is likely to attract attention from other major wineries. That could result in more investment in the future.
