KBRA Soon To Expire

EUREKA, Calif. – A lack of support for the controversial Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement could soon scuttle that agreement.

Under the terms of the KBRA, if it was not finalized by the end of 2012, the signers could extend it two more years, to the end of December 2014. At a meeting in Eureka last week, only six of the 42 signatories agree to the extension and amendments.

If no extension is approved, the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement expires in about six weeks.
