KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — An avalanche of comments is forcing Klamath County Commissioners to postpone a decision whether to walk away from the Klamath Basin Restoration Agreement.
Tuesday morning, a handful of people showed up to see what the board would do following last week’s standing-room-only crowd. Nearly four dozen people testified a week ago for and against KBRA involvement. At least a thousand more comments have come in since then.
Two board members were out of town two days last week, and monday’s holiday delayed the board’s review of the comments. Klamath County Commission Chairman Dennis Linthicum says he expects the board will decide at next tuesday’s meeting how to proceed with KBRA and KHSA.
