Juveniles Lodged for Breaking into Bank

ATMMEDFORD, Ore. — Police say a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old are lodged in a local juvenile center for breaking into a bank and attempting to steal from an ATM.

Medford Police say they made it into the Bank of the Cascades on East Barnett just after 7 p.m. Sunday, but only as far as the mezzanine. It was there that both kids used a door handle to pry open the ATM. Officers say they didn’t make it into the ATM’s safe or obtain any money.

Police plan to release more information this week.
