June 20 Forecast

Today marks the Summer Soltice which means Summer is officially here!  Today and tomorrow will be the longest days of the year and it looks like the weather has been watching the calendar as today will feel more summer-like.  Sunny skiies today with warmer temperatures today and tomorrow, we’ll see some 90s today with even more tomorrow.

Change comes as we head into tomorrow as a upper-level low moves closer to our west bringing in more clouds to the area and even a chance for dry thunderstorms tomorrow making the dry and warm conditions ideal for fire weather.  The coast could see some rain as early as tomorrow but most areas will hold off until Friday.  The coastal region will be the wettest area over the next several days while the basin will be the driest.  The heavier rain will be on Saturday and some showers continue into Sunday.

Not only will we be wetter over the next several days but also much cooler.  Temperatures will plummet a good 20 degrees by the weekend bringing the valley back into the 60s for highs.

Thanks for logging on and enjoy your Summer day!
