The high pressure that brough us sunny skiies and warm temperatures over the weekend is moving off to the East today and a trough will be replacing it later today bringing in a much cooler airmass that will remain over the area for the next couple of days. With high pressure moving out of the area we’ll see the return of the marine layer, especially along the coast, but possibly even into the valley for the next couple of mornings.
Windy conditions return to most areas by this afternoon and remain through the early evening hours. Could see some frost in basin tomorrow as a frost advisory is in effect from 5am-8am tomorrow morning, so any sensitive plants and animals should be brought inside or protected before heading to bed this evening.
We’ll quickly warm back up as we approach the official start of Summer this Wednesday but it is short lived as a cut-off low moves into the area at the end of the week bringing in a chance for showers and much cooler temperatures.
Thanks for logging on and have a great Monday!
