NEAR SAWYERS BAR, Calif. — People who live around the July Complex say they are worried their entire community could be lost.
Several homes around Sawyers Bar are being threatened, many of which are historical homes that have been around for a hundred years.
People also say there aren’t enough resources to help families that are displaced because of emergency evacuations, and there aren’t not enough water sources to fight the fire because of the drought.
Several families are renting out storage units in other areas to try to protect their belongings. The entire July Complex is 29,000 acres, consisting of several fires, and is now 44% contained.
