The high pressure ridge that’s been bringing the excessive heat wave to the rest of the nation is going to start to shift to the west as we head into the weekend. That means that temperatures in our region are going to be above normal. Expecting mid-90s in the valleys this weekend and triple digits in northern California.
We continue to have a fire danger level of moderate, meaning that if you plan to enjoy your holiday weekend BBQing and/or lighting fireworks, make sure to keep water nearby. Also with the hot temperatures this weekend stay hydrated and if you’re going to be outdoors wear sunscreen and remember to re-apply.
Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!
