GRANTS PASS, Ore. – The Josephine County Fairgrounds hosted its second annual Music Fest Sunday.
The Music Fest started at 11:00 Sunday morning and continued until 7:00 at night.
Organizers say eight different bands showed up to play, and they’re hoping for a final count of around a thousand attendees in total.
This is the second year of the music fest, which organizers say is meant to raise money for various projects at the Josephine Fairgrounds.
“The arena roof… You know we need a new roof,” said festival organizer Rick Wilson. “It’s a quarter million dollar plus project. We need to raise that money, it’s not all going to be grants.”
Wilson says the festival is still young but he hopes to be back next year with a bigger lineup.
He says he eventually wants to be able to bring in a few headliners and become a major fundraiser for the fairgrounds.
