Josephine County Voter Turnout Low

MEDFORD, Ore. – Official election results are in and a Southern Oregon county had one of the lowest voter turnouts in the state.

Oregon Secretary of State Kate Brown reports just under 83% of eligible voters cast their ballots this year. Broken down by county, Josephine County tied Union for the second lowest voter participation; only Umatilla County was lower.

They were the only three counties with a turnout below 80%; Jackson, Klamath, Lake, and Curry all came above 80%.
