GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Josephine county voters have the opportunity to vote for one of nine candidates running for a county commissioner seat this May.
The first candidate forum was held in Grants Pass on Wednesday night, allowing the public to hear from each person about key issues facing the struggling county.
Most questions focused on county jail space, timber use in the county, and resource funding. A panel asked several questions and the public had the opportunity to submit questions in writing as well.
Dozens came to hear what the candidates had to say and believe that they have a better idea of who will earn their vote in the upcoming election.
