O’BRIEN, Ore. – A Josephine County man is behind bars, accused of kidnapping and assault.
On Saturday, Oregon State Police troopers came to an O’Brien area residence, after a 45-year-old woman called 911 to report a man she knew was trying to take her against her will.
Police say, that man was 49-year-old Norbert Croft. According to authorities, the female victim had a valid restraining order against Croft. When Oregon State Police arrived at the woman’s home, no one was there.
They later received a call from a witness reporting the vehicle that left the victim’s home was five miles away on Rockydale Road. Police were able to arrest Croft, he is currently in the Josephine County Jail.
