GRANTS PASS, Ore. — The Josephine County Commissioners approved “pass through funds” from the Oregon Health Authority for mental health services in the county.
“Options” is the organization receiving the pass through funds and both officials and commissioners say the approval is simply a new formality. “Options” is receiving the same amount of funding as before, however the state must pass it through the counties before it can be sub contracted.
“It’s money we’ve been getting historically but it’s come through our managed mental health care organization, Jefferson Behavioral Health. So it is just an administrative transfer over to the county,” said Executive Director of Options, Karla Mccaferty.
The funds were for the remaining current fiscal year. No changes in services will occur for patients at “Options.”
