Jodi Arias Death Penalty Hearing

PHOENIX, Ariz. — Jodi Arias is one step closer to a death sentence.

In the first step in the penalty phase of the Yreka woman’s murder trial, they jury that convicted Arias of the murder of Travis Alexander decided last week that Alexander suffered enough during the crime to warrant Arias being put to death.

In the final phase, more witnesses will be called and the defense will have the chance to ask the jury to spare Arias’ life.

Isn’t a “jealous rage” 2nd degree murder? “Moses said ‘An eye for an eye, but Jesus said to forgive.” LW Smith, age 80. If appealing to emotions in this trial brings a death penalty, it will only bring blood on our head, as well as the misfortunes already accrued.. One of the prayers in the Rosary says,”…forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell,” and “…lead all souls into Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.”
