GRANTS PASS, Ore.– Thousands of signatures allowed a measure to ensure animal control services to get on the May ballot. Measure 17-60 will collect eight-cents per nearly $1,000 dollars of assessed property for the next three years. The measure was approved by voters, and is expected to raise about $509,000 the first year; $546,000 the second year, and more than $562,000 the third year. Supporters said it will fully fund the county’s animal shelter and animal control.

NO: 38% with 10,562 votes
