Smoke Impacts Jet Boat Tours

Rogue Jet Boats

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — The thick smoke that has settled into the Rogue Valley has caused cancellations to some events and has impacted some recreation businesses.

Rogue Jet Boat Adventures had cancellations to their tours today due to the smoke, but they are booked for Wednesday. The cancellations and rescheduling vary based on the needs and concerns of the customers, but officials with the company say their location on the Rogue, near the Table Rocks, see the least amount of smoke impacts in the area.

“The fact remains that people still have concerns, and we can’t fault our customers for that so at the end of the day, I had cancellations today, fully booked for tomorrow, and we’re just taking our adventures one day at a time,” Taylor Grimes with Rogue Jet Boat Adventures said.

Jet Boat officials say future trips are on as scheduled.
