WHITE CITY, Ore. — A new company is hoping to make Jackson County a hot-spot destination through the water. And as the summer like temperatures arrive in southern Oregon, a new business in Jackson County is helping residents hit the water.
Rogue Jet Boat Adventures is taking water lovers out here in the Rogue River to show Jackson County’s history and have fun at the same time. For tourists and residents, Rogue Jet Boat Adventures is bringing a new boating experience to Jackson County.
The owner Taylor Grimes says his company is moving away from tours like the Hellgate Jetboat excursions in Grants Pass making tours along the Rogue River smaller — and more intimate. One boat will take eight people per ride. Grimes says visitors can expect some food and wine with their experience; plus, special cultural events.
“It’s really just a completely different experience. It’s on a section of the river that many people have not seen, experienced of Table Rocks up close and advantages like that and also the history which is absolutely amazing in this valley,” says Grimes.
This summer will be the company’s pilot program. For anyone interested this Saturday is the grand opening at the Cascade Shopping Center in White City.
