It opened for the first time this season starting Sunday. More than two dozen vendors set up on the historic courtyard of downtown Jacksonville offering anything from freshly brewed coffee to hula hoops.
Due to hot summer temperatures, the market will be opening and closing earlier this year than in years past. It will now be open from 9:00a.m – 12:30p.m. every Sunday.
Customers can expect local handmade products.
“They can get vegetables from local farmers, handmade artisan crafts, baked goods, fresh roasted coffee… they can get jams and jellies and sauces and eggs and all kinds of great local stuff,” said Elizabeth Worcester, a local vendor.
The farmers market will be held every Sunday from now through mid-October.
