MEDFORD, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says you can now bypass lines for concealed handgun licenses by making an appointment ahead of time.
Sheriff’s officials say demand for CHL’s has spiked since the beginning of the year. Walk ins are still an option, however officials say you can expect a line ahead of you.
“At times some people wait an hour, two hours to process their handgun license, so this will help customer service with the appointment and the finger print, that type of thing,” said Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Marty Clark
Officials say having the proper paperwork ready to go makes the process easier and faster. More information and an application for a CHL can be found on the Jackson County Sheriff’s web site.
