MEDFORD, Ore. — Police hope an autopsy will reveal how a homeless man ended up face down in a Medford creek.
When responding to a welfare check in a field near Sierra Pine Mill, a witness told officer he had scene Paul Munday walking down by an irrigation canal.
Medford Police say heavy rains must have washed Munday’s body further downstream where they found him underwater on Sunday.
Officers say Munday was a registered sex offender and was reportedly making suicidal comments days before his disappearance. His death is still under investigation.
