NEAR ASHLAND, Ore. — A semi-truck jackknifes on I-5 on Sunday afternoon impacting drivers near the Oregon-California border.
Oregon State Police responded to two crashes within a quarter mile of each other. Transportation officials shut down one northbound lane of I-5 near mile marker five to take care of the incidents.
Police say a semi driver lost control of the truck and over-corrected. That driver walked away with no injuries. It happened just after 12:30 p.m.
Also around that time a three car collision less than half a mile up the interstate. A driver smacked into a truck pulling a U-Haul while coming around a corner and a third car rear-ended that driver.
No one was injured in those incidents either. The roadway opened back up a couple hours later.
