A quick moving storm system moved through overnight. This brought rain, snow & wind to much of Southern Oregon but all of the precipitation came to an end just as quickly as it started. The storm is already passing to our south and east and gradual clearing will bring sun into the afternoon.
High temperatures are going to be much cooler today though — about 15 degrees cooler than the weekend. Snow levels dropped sharply with this new and cooler air mass. They will be around 2,500′ & 3,000′ today. If you are traveling into the high country throughout the morning be prepared for snow over the Cascade passes.
From here on out, the weather will stay very inactive for the remainder of the week. High temperatures will cool down slightly into Thursday, but most if not all of the precipitation with this cold front will remain to the North. By Friday & the weekend high pressure builds into the West allowing for clear skies and very mild afternoons again. This next weekend will be very similar to the last — spring-like & sunny.
