EUGENE, Ore. – Fresh off an upset of Stanford, the Washington Huskies came to Autzen Stadium looking to snap an eight game losing streak to the Oregon Ducks. Instead, the Ducks dominated from start to finish, beating the 23rd ranked Huskies 52-21.
Oregon jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead, thanks to touchdowns by De’Anthony Thomas, Keanon Lowe and a pick six by Avery Patterson. Washington scored early in the second to make it a 14-point game, but that’s as close as it would be for the rest of the contest.
Marcus Mariota threw four touchdown passes, two to tight end Colt Lyerla. Kenjon Barner rushed for 121 yards, while De’Anthony Thomas chipped in with 75 yards on the ground.
The Ducks are off next Saturday, but return to action on Thursday, October 18th at Arizona State.
