GOLD HILL, Ore. — A Gold Hill man, who disappeared two days ago while on a hunting trip, is safe.
The father of 33-year-old Lloyd Sinclair tells NewsWatch 12 he got a call from search and rescue crews on Wednesday morning. Sinclair was found in the area where he was hunting, the Lost Creek Drainage of eastern Coos County.
When he was found, Sinclair had shoulder and knee injuries. Sinclair was an experienced hunter and went out often on trips in the Southern Oregon area, but wasn’t familiar with the coastal area.
“You have to know what you’re doing, even knowing what you’re doing you can get hurt,” said neighbor John Cotner.
Sinclair’s cousins and other family members left yesterday to join search efforts. The National Guard and the California/Oregon search and rescue assisted in the rescue.
