Hubbards to Close South Store

HubbardsMEDFORD, Ore. — A longtime hardware store in the Rogue Valley will be closing one of its locations this summer.

Hubbards Home Center announced that it is closing its store on South Pacific Highway and moving all of its operations into its north store on Crater Lake Highway. Staff will soon begin moving merchandise to the north store, and all employees are expected to keep their jobs in the new location.

Hubbards General Manager Bob Seus said most of their business is done at the north store.

“We think ultimately we can do a better job of servicing our customers at [the north store] location,” he said. “We’ll have more product, we’ll have more people, and our pledge is to make sure Hubbards customers are taken care of.”

The South Pacific Highway store will close for good in July, and the building will then be used by CDS Publications, which currently operates next door.

“Can do a better job of servicing our customers at the north store location” …??? What about all the customers at the south location? I used to go here frequently, but ever since they dropped the Ace franchise I can’t seem to find anything I need. Seriously. No surprise here that business has fallen off. This business is most definitely NOT providing good service to customers.
